An educationist by himself is a post-graduate in Biosciences and M. Phil in Environmental Biology and has about 30 years of Academic, Research and Industrial experience. His contributions are many in the field of Education, Environment and Social Service.

• Former Member of Karnataka State Appellate Authority (Env.)
• Former Syndicate Member of Mangalore University
• Former Member of TAC, Karnataka State Pollution Control
• Former Member of Expert Appraisal Committee for River Valley & Hydro-Electric Projects, Ministry of Env. & Forest, Government of India.
