Placement Cell of Maps College is headed by the placement cell Officer, Mrs. Shwetha K, Lecturer, Dept. of Commerce, along with committee members including Mr. Rohith Kumar (B.HS), Mr. Ganesh I (B.Com), Mr. Prashanth Allison (B.Com) and Ms. Shana Mariyam. B (BASLP). The Placement Cell has been training students and providing them with opportunities to get placed in leading MNC'S, Banks, educational institutes, hospitals, clinics etc. since the year 2010. The Institute helps each student in exploring placement opportunities by inviting various companies for campus recruitment of students who are in the final year of the programme and are likely to graduate at the end of the academic year. The placement cell conducts various activities and workshops such as resume writing, interview skills, group discussions, aptitude tests and mock interviews for the students.
Aim and Objective of the Cell:
- Career Counselling
- Campus Recruitment Training + Soft skills training
- Providing Job Placement, Internships, Articleship & Part time Job opportunities
- Send students to attend job fairs in and around Mangalore.
Apart from this, the students are also given opportunities for internships, part- time jobs and CA Article ships. The BASLP students are getting placed in multinational Hearing Aid company like Amplifone Pvt.Ltd, fully fledged chain of clinics like Life Speech and Hearing Clinic, Shalom Speech and Hearing Clinic etc
Students, who are looking forward for Job/ Internship placements are requested to watch out for the timely notices updated by the Placement Cell.
Procedure:
- Students who wish to undergo campus interview and recruitment have to enrol their name in the placement cell at the beginning of the final year.
- Students who have enrolled are expected to attend the various seminars, activities, talks and training sessions organised by the placement cell in order to develop self confidence, interview skills etc
- Aptitude tests will be conducted to the students
- Call for campus interview will be notified to the students by the placement cell.
- Students who have enrolled will have to submit the full bio data before the interview.
- Placement Brochure is prepared giving details of the students ready to be placed. This brochure is subsequently shared with potential recruiters. The students registered for placement are included in this brochure.
- Students who have any backlogs will be removed from the list before the interview.
- Results of the interview will be announced once the placement cell gets the intimation from the interviewer.
